10th Annual Day Celebration (A Rendezvous with 'ME')

Orchids – The International School celebrated its 10th Annual Day on the 28th of January, 2012, with great pomp and show, at Shilparamam. The Day remains very special as it looks back at a decade of determination, diligence and dedication. The Chief Guest was Mr. K.R.K. Reddy, Gowtham Educational Institutions. The Principal of Orchids, Mrs. Mona Mehdi, presented the Annual Report of the school which highlighted the prominent achievements of the school during the year 2011-2012 in the scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
The Chief Guest, Mr.K,R.K.Reddy opined that schools must aim at imparting Holistic Education which nurtures the all-round development of a student.
The students exhibited great verve and showcased a scintillating performance in their theme based event, ‘A Rendezvous with ME’- a conglomeration of environmental awareness, action, songs, mime and dances. It was a combination of creativity and technology. The theme depicted the glorious past of Mother Earth with timely seasons, present effects of global warming and the pressing need to take up measures to prevent it. It was a plea to all mankind to save Mother Nature and prevent global warming which is leading to a plethora of problems for man.
The cultural show encompassed the exuberant dance of the pre-primary kids, the vivacity of Holi, Bhangra, Goan and Western dances, the sonority of English and French songs by the School Choir, the effective mime and enthralling Siva and Parvati classical dance. The vibrant celebration kept the audience enthralled till the end and was a resounding success with 100% participation of students.

63rd Republic Day Celebration

The 63rd Republic Day of our country was celebrated with gusto and gaiety in Orchids – The International School. Our Principal, Mrs.Mona Mehdi addressed the school on this occasion and emphasized the importance of this day and encouraged the students to be more dutiful and shoulder the responsibility of safe guarding our nation in all possible manner as they are the next generation.. There were speeches in English, Hindi and Telugu by Orchidians. Patriotic Songs were sung by the school choir filling the air with patriotic fervour.
